First Three Day's of Class
English 103 with Charlsie Lamos was my first class on my first day of college. It was an exciting experience to finally be in my first semester of college at Clemson University. I had a little trouble finding the class and I was in a hurry after getting a quick breakfast at Harcombe dinning hall. I had Fruit Loops with whole milk and a glass of orange juice. My backpack was loaded down with text books for English, calculus, Survey of Science and Technology, and the general Engineering textbook. That's not even mentioning my laptop and it's charger. So I hurried from the dining hall across the library bridge and too Daniels Hall. Up a flight of stairs to the second floor and down the hall until I found room 211. Once inside the classroom there were a good number of people already inside and the lights were off. A teacher came in asking about an extra podium which sat in the corner of the classroom, a few other Clemson Staff entered and walked off with the podium. A few more students wandered in and then came our teacher Mrs. Lamos. We went over the syllabus and which had the next two weeks homework on it which turned out to be very useful as Clemson's Blackboard was taken down for support Thursday when I went to see what the homework was. Needless to say I will be writing down all the homework for all my classes now to not run into that problem again. Wrote down our names, something we like, something we dislike, and where we were from. She had a few people read there cards and everyone turned in the cards as we left class. The rest of the day passed by and then before I knew it was Thursday afternoon. So I unwrapped my text book and sat down to read. My roommate was playing Forza 3 which made my reading take twice as long as it should have but I finished it with enough time to complete my STS homework and still had some time to hang out with some of the guys on my hall. Another distraction while I was reading was the fire drill which went off when I was about half way through the reading. I woke up Friday to a warm shower and a similar breakfast as Wednesday. I hurried to class and today we got our laptops out at the start of class. Mrs. Lamos plugged in the projector and we followed her through registering for our e-textbook and My Writing Lab. Then we got into groups and analyzed a cartoon of a frail Steve Job's holding an Ipad which said Iquit on the back. It seemed to be saying that his retirement was primarily was because of his bad health and that it would also negatively affect the company. Then class was over and I was headed to the end of my third day of classes at Clemson University.
